Key topics:\u00a0<\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>Question and Answering<\/li>\n<li>Text Summarization<\/li>\n<li>Parts of Speech tagging<\/li>\n<li>Sequence-to-Sequence models<\/li>\n<li>Transformers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<li>Gives you a very good overview of where NLP is headed, <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/ankit-ai\/cs224n-natural-language-processing-winter2019\">homeworks<\/a> are challenging but allow you to implement latest neural architectures to solve various language problems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<li>My class project: <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/ankit-ai\/BertQA-Attention-on-Steroids\">BertQA<\/a>\u00a0(99* stars on github) &#8211; Won Best Project Award in the class<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<p><b>CS231n &#8211;\u00a0Convolutional Neural Networks for Visual Recognition (Prof. Li and Justin Johnson)<\/b><\/p>\n<div>\n<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>Difficulty: 4\/5 (Moderate)<\/li>\n<li>What to expect:\u00a0<\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>Extensive overview of latest trends in Computer Vision techniques across different domains and applications &#8211;\u00a0<\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>Discriminative models<\/li>\n<li>Unsupervised techniques<\/li>\n<li>Neural Architecture layers and intutions\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Segmentation<\/li>\n<li>Generative Techniques<\/li>\n<li>Style Transfer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<li>Homeworks are the best part of the class which allow you to implement a variety of Neural Layers and get in-depth intuition of how deep learning actually works.<\/li>\n<li>I would suggest some familiarity with <i>matrix calculus and probability<\/i> for this course.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<li>My class project:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/masoudML\/Spatio_Temporal_Adversarial_Video_Super_Resolution\">Spatio-Temporal Adversarial Video Super Resolution<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<b><br \/><\/b><\/div>\n<div>\n<b>CS221 &#8211; Artificial Intelligence &#8211; Principles and Techniques (Prof. Liang and Prof. Sadigh)<\/b><\/div>\n<div>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>Difficulty: 4.5\/5 (Heavy)<\/li>\n<li>What to expect:\u00a0<\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>This is one of the most &#8220;dense&#8221; classes I have come across at Stanford. The nature of the class is such that it is trying to fit in this huge umbrella of AI topics within a quarter &#8211; which is what makes it challenging. Topics include &#8211;\u00a0<\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>Search<\/li>\n<li>Markov Decision Process<\/li>\n<li>Reinforcement Learning (RL)<\/li>\n<li>Adversarial Games<\/li>\n<li>Constraint Satisfaction problems<\/li>\n<li>Bayesian Networks (BN)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<li>Amongst these, Reinforcement Learning and Bayesian Networks are conceptually heavy topics which require some extra effort.<\/li>\n<li>That being said, the topics are interesting and makes you appreciate the latest trends in AI and draw parallels from traditional techniques.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Homeworks are weekly and can take time but are fun for the most part!
